Feedback

At Horizon Counselling and Coaching we see feedback as a vital component in ensuring we continue to design and deliver programmes that fully meet people’s needs, wants and expectations.  Informal feedback is sought throughout the Coaching Process so that we can stay on track, and everyone is encouraged to complete a comprehensive online survey once the work is complete.   While much of this detailed feedback must remain confidential, I have been given permission to publish the following comments:

I would like to thank you for the wonderful support you have provided me through our 1:1 sessions, they have helped me tremendously in channelling my thoughts into what’s important, be more productive, and formulate strategies to achieve a work-life balance.

I would like to thank you for the sessions that we undertook at BMC. As you know I was a fairly new manager and I felt that I was muddling my way through my role. Your method of questioning allowed me to self-reflect and I had several ‘light bulb’ moments which then gave me clarity in relation to both work and personal matters. Relationship Counselling

After 17 years together, we were still clashing over the same issues which had lead to previous break ups.  It was my real concern that we had exhausted all the options and that if we couldn’t find a resolution then I would continue to be stuck between not wanting to remain in the marriage the way it was, but not wanting to leave.  Personally I had reached a frustrating stalemate.

None of this is rocket science, and we already had an understanding of what we could do better, but we just couldn’t work out how to do it, and believe me we had tried.

I had a preconception that talking about my partner in front of my partner would feel awkward and a bit confrontational, but Andy guided me through this process which left us both feeling understood and our views equally validated.  Knowing that I had a safe and supported space to raise concerns, which previously would have resulted in an argument, meant that we were finally able to get passed the negative emotions and tit for tat, and move forward.

Behaviour Workshops

Thank youI enjoyed the session and found having dedicated time to have discussions with other members of the team really valuable. I thought it was particularly helpful to revisit the values of the organisation to make sure they still fit, as it has been some time since they were first created. It will be really interesting to see how they are amended once all of the sessions have taken place.

I also thought that the second video with the bell curve made me think slightly differently as not sure I had thought about behaviour like that before. for your help, I am so happy about how beneficial the sessions have been.

Thank you for the session. I personally found it very helpful with real world, real life practical considerations. The session was interactive which tends to offer the biggest benefit, teaching style wise, and the case study was particularly useful in sparking debate and conversation around how to manage challenging non clinical situations which is something our management team is currently facing. It certainly increased my toolbox contents.
As somebody who very much values collaborative work, I really enjoyed the collaborative approach to thinking about the Invicta values and how to translate that into something tangible for both staff and patients.

Training

For me, it think it is fantastic that the whole management team have been given this opportuning for training. I hope this means that going forward we will all be on the same page in terms of behaviours, so that the wider team know what to expect and I am looking forward to seeing this at St James

I enjoyed this workshop, it gave me a different perspective listening to other colleagues views on different behaviours. It made me look at myself and question how I come across in different scenarios. Also to be able to look at and sometimes challenge the behaviours of others. Oena’s talk at the beginning was useful too. To know that she expects a certain behaviour from everyone within the organisation is encouraging.
